Cathy Hanke

Cathy Jo Hanke, age 57, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at her home. She was born September 4, 1956 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Keith and Joanne (Moles) Hewitt. Cathy was a 1974 graduate of Maple Valley High School and held various secretarial positions thru the years, including Bronson Battle Creek and the Federal Center. She enjoyed Facebooking, her pets and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. On August 16, 1997 Cathy was married to Jim Hanke who survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Erin (Merik) Warren and Carrie Johnson; three grandchildren: Ayla Johnson, Hunter Dawe and Araya Warren; her mother, Joanne Hewitt; maternal grandmother, Marian Hocott and her brother, Brad (Renee) Hewitt. Cathy was preceded in death by her father. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be held at North Athens Cemetery. www.henryfuneralhome.org
