Mr. Carroll C. “Fergie” Ferguson, age 81, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. He was born May 8, 1935 in Dayton, Tennessee the son of Coulter and Gladys (Hill) Ferguson, and moved to Battle Creek at the age of 11. A graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Mr. Ferguson retired from Ralston – Purina in 1994 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #503, the Y Center and Eagles Lodge #299, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He was previously married to Nancy (Ringle) with whom he had three children who survive: Steven (Maureen) Ferguson of Battle Creek, Mark (Susie) Ferguson of Houston, Texas and Rhonda Smith of Battle Creek; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister: Pat Bannister of Battle Creek; a special nephew: Mike Ferguson of Battle Creek and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Robert Ferguson and three sisters: Susie Ferguson, Jo Kelly and Betty Cary. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
