Caroline Deling

Caroline V.  DeLing, Age 93, 0f Battle Creek, Died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center, MI. Caroline was born on February 18, 1920, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Ketchum) Andrews. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Lakeview High School in 1938. In 1942, she was united in marriage to Joseph DeLing who preceded her in death on July 4, 1970. She was a member of the Maple United Methodist Church. Caroline enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Richard (Jane) DeLing of Grand Rapids, Ronald DeLing of Battle Creek, Stephen DeLing of Coldwater and Diana (Floyd) Taylor of Climax; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert DeLing and a brother, Raymond Andrews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with The Rev. David Morton officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
