Carol Burdick

July 6, 1950 — April 15, 2014

Carol Lynn Burdick, age 63, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Borgess Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1950 at United Memorial Hospital in Greenville, Michigan the daughter of John “Jack” and Dorothy (Finch) Bower. Carol was a 1968 graduate of Lakeview High School and later graduated from Kellogg Community College. She was currently working at the V.A. Hospital where she spent just over six years working with veterans helping them navigate through the system. Carol loved her family, horses and her husband, John O. Burdick, Sr. whom she married on February 14, 1986. She enjoyed entertaining in her new home that she helped build and was a great carpenter, fantastic electrician, not to mention her plumbing and painting skills. She enjoyed raising and showing horses as well as living life. Carol is survived by her husband John O. Burdick, Sr.; her daughter Michel and grandson Corey; John’s children: John and Michelle; and five grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Bower. Family always came first in Carol’s eyes, she spent as much time as she was able with Corey her cherished little grandson.  In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Burdick officiating. To Carol the glass was always ½ full not ½ empty.
