It is with the deepest sadness that we share that our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and everyone’s friend, Carol R. (Corey) Binger passed away on July 5th, 2023.
Carol “Baby C” Binger was born Oct 26, 1937, in Pellston, MI, where she lived until she relocated to Jackson, MI, in 1950. She met and married the love of her life, Albert “Al” Binger in 1956. They relocated to Battle Creek, MI, in 1961. Together they raised and celebrated the successes of their three children, Corey Binger (Nancy), Tim Binger (Kim) and Kimberly Binger-Jones (Kevin). Nothing made Carol happier than to spend time with her grandchildren who she adored: Mac Binger, Chloe Binger, Madison Jones and Gabbi Binger.
She is survived by her husband Al, her sister, Zelma Todoroff, her children and every person she impacted in this life. Carol spent every moment she could helping others. She was awarded for starting a safe house for battered women, along with earning volunteer of the year at Leila hospital. When she wasn’t helping others, she spent her time traveling the world with Al, dancing under the stars, outshining Broadway singers, vacationing with family in Florida, and kicking everyone’s butts at tennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and MaryBell Corey, and her four brothers, Lee, Ronald, Arthur, and Mark. As well as three sisters, Beado, Wave and Violet.
To know Carol is to love Carol. Her warm heart and bright giving spirit was evident in everything she did. She loved her family fiercely and made everyone she met feel welcomed. Her memories will continue to live on through all of us.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorial contributions may be made to S.A.F.E. Place or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
