Carl Perez

Carl Perez, Age 84, Of Battle Creek, Died Monday, September 9, 2013, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. Carl was born on July 2, 1929, in Shiner, TX, the son of Ernest and Frances (Brown) Perez. He was a graduate of Shiner High School in Texas and attended G.M.I. in Flint, MI.  He was married for 35 years to the former Donna Rench which ended in divorce. On December 24, 1998, he was united in marriage to the former Betty L. Fletcher who survives. He was employed as a manager at Century Buick for 30 years. Surviving are children, Cindie (Ron) Boland, Linda (Don) Goulet, S. Carleen Perez-Martin; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 3 step- great grandchildren; brothers, Fay Perez and Manuel Perez; sisters, Josephine Wells and Carmen Menjares; step-daughters, Mary Jo (Joe) Cavender and Jan (Glen) Medina. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Perez, Jr., and brothers, Ernest, Louis and Abel Perez. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 13, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Bruce Moore of the Battle Creek Tabernacle Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
