Bryan K. Marenko, age 51, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at his home. He was born December 7, 1962 in Williamson, West Virginia the son of Alex Franklin and Bondie (Gibson) Marenko. Bryan was a 1982 graduate of Harper Creek High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy following graduation. He served proudly for nine years and sailed on the U.S.S. Iowa. Following his time in the Navy, he worked at the V.A. Medical Center as a boiler plant operator. Bryan attended Climax United Methodist Church, and loved computers, traveling and riding his motorcycle. In 1997 he was married to Cinda L. (Mohney), who survives. Also surviving are his daughter: Mallory Marenko of Mississippi, two step-daughters: Megan (Morgan) Thompson of Mississippi and Carrie Mohney of Galesburg, and two sons: Justin and Nicholas Marenko both of Battle Creek; two brothers: Mark Todd Marenko and Alex Scott (Jane) Marenko both of Battle Creek; his mother, Bondie G. Marenko of Battle Creek and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Climax United Methodist Church with Rev. Glenn Litchfield officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.
