Brenda Kay Chapman

Passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in Battle Creek. Brenda was born on November 14, 1956, to John A. and Dorothy (Ifer) Vary. She had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended Battle Creek Central High School. She married Michael J. Chapman on January 2, 1975. He preceded her in death in 2017.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving  is a son, John (Brandy) Chapman of Battle Creek; daughters, Stacey (Gerald) Lake of Nashville, MI, Amy (Chad) Chapman of Battle Creek; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Judith L. Vary and brothers, Bruce A. Vary and Lonnie L. Vary; several nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Fort Custer National Cemetery. www.henryfuneralhome.org
