Bonnie Lou Taft, age 80, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 19, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on May 24, 1940 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Richard and Zella Gibbons.  Bonnie graduated from Lakeview High School.  She was employed as a head cashier at Meijer for twenty-four years.  Bonnie was an avid reader and loved playing Bingo and cards with her daughter and good friends, Brinda Konkle and Charlene Zull.  She loved riding on the golf cart with her son.  Bonnie  went on several trips and cruises and lived life to the fullest.  She was united in marriage on June 19, 1959 to Robert E. Taft, he survives.  Also surviving are daughter; Tammy (Steve) Allison, son; Steven Taft, grandson; Tim Westenbrock, brother; Larry (Debbie Wiess) Gibbons, sister-in-law; Barb (Leo) Cotton.  Bonnie will be forever missed and remembered for her passion she shared for friends and family.  She just enjoyed life in general.  Private graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Pastor Jim Codde officiating.  Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of SW Michigan.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
