Went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 26, 2024, At Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. Bonnie was born on January 12, 1932, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Howard and Faith (Gritzinger) McPharlin. She had been a lifelong resident of the area and was a 1950  graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. On January 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Clarence W. Squires who preceded her in death. She was employed  at the Kellogg Company for 34 years until her retirement. Bonnie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a Eucharistic minister and was an officer in the Women’s Guild. She was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club, and a volunteer at Leila Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crafts. Holidays were her favorite times, when the family gathered together for love, food, and fun. Surviving are daughters, Bonnie “Pat” Squires and Michelle (Alan) Egnatuk; a son, Michael (Danette) Squires all of Battle Creek. 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathleen A. Miller. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 5:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services with a scripture service at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to Willard Library or St. Joseph Church. www.henryfuneralhome.org
