Passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 Marshall Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Community . Billy Ray was born in Evansville, TN on October 21, 1924 to W.R. and Della (Farmer) Williams. Billy attended rural schools in Tennessee before serving honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. Billy moved to Michigan after his military service where he began his working career. He retired from Ralston Purina Company in Battle Creek after 30 years of dedicated service. Billy was an avid guitar player and singer and enjoyed many get-togethers with family and friends. His other interests were bowling and traveling. He was a member of the Ralston 25 year Club and a former member of the American Legion. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, W.R. and Della Williams; brothers, Fred, Lewis, Sr., Benjamin and Perry; sisters, Margaret Daniel and Ina jean Himebaugh; a daughter, Lona Mae Siefke and son-in-law, Henry Siefke; a grandson Archibaud Bouchard and a great grandson, Christopher Sharp. Billy is survived by the love of his life for 47 years, Sue Lawrence; a granddaughter, Thelisa Sharp and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12:00p.m. to 1:00p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
