Beverly Askew

Beverly J.  Askew, Age 84, of Battle Creek, Died Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Beverly was born on November 8, 1929, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Lester and Myrtle (Reynolds) Sass. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1949. She was married to Donald E. Askew which ended in divorce. She enjoyed babysitting, fishing, bingo, music and was once a member of the Battle Creek Central Acapella. Surviving are her children, Kurt B. Askew of Battle Creek, Eric K. (Denise) Askew of Battle Creek, Wendy K. Panczyk of Marshall and Jeffrey B. (Liz) Askew of Battle Creek; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Conrad Askew in 1954; a brother, Lester Sass, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Herman and Lois Milligan. Visitation will be held Friday from 3 to 5:00 p.m., at the Richard A.
