Bettyjean Warner, age 92, of Battle Creek passed away on March 15, 2018. She was born on May 16, 1925 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Lester and Hazel (Westbrook) McKinney. She lived on the family’s farm in Eckford, Township before moving to Battle Creek. Bettyjean was united in Marriage to Roger Warner on April 25, 1943 in Union City. She was employed by Woodlin Metal Products in Marshall, then worked for Michigan National Bank in Marshall as an Assistant Mortgage Officer before retiring after twenty-five years of service. Bettyjean enjoyed traveling, dining out, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband; Roger Warner, parents; Lester and Hazel McKinney, and a sister; Dorothy Hitchings. Surviving are her daughter; Leslie Messenger of Battle Creek, sister; Barbara Gibson of Bellevue, grandchildren; Michael (Heather) Messenger and Jeffrey Messenger (Lori) of Battle Creek, great grandchildren; Brandon, Ashley (Chris), Devin (Heather), Chelsea (Everett), great-great grandchildren; Natalie and Jordan, sister-in-law; Frances Ray of Albion, brother-in-law; Merle Hitchings of Climax, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the East Eckford Cemetery, Eckford Township.
