Betty Frantz

Betty P.  Frantz, Age 89, Of Battle Creek, Died Thursday, July 9, 2015.  Betty was born on December 24, 1925, in Moscow, MI, the daughter of Lee and Erma (Linsday) Kies. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and has been a resident of the Battle Creek area since 1968. On April 7, 1945, she was united in marriage to Lawrence W. “Bill” Frantz who preceded her in death in 2010. She was an avid Tiger’s fan and enjoyed fishing, bingo, gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving are children, Cathy (Roy) Brown, Judy Ransom, Larry “Butch” Frantz, Randy (Katie) Frantz and Frederic (Debra) Frantz; 18 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Lorraine) Kies. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Milton, Marion, Harold, Hugh and Joe Kies; a son-in-law, Roger Ransom. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
