Bernita A. Estey, 84, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 at Care Community. She was born on January 23, 1929 in Climax, MI to Carl and Bessie (Selby) Westfall. Bernita graduated from Climax High School. She was united in marriage to Edward W. Estey, he preceded her in death. Bernita enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, and sewing.
She is survived by three sons, Vern (Janet) Estey, of Louisville, KY; Leo (Christine) Estey, of Battle Creek, and Dale (Carol) Estey, of Climax, eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Bernita was also preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Bernheisel and a brother, Donel Westfall.
Graveside services will be held 2:30pm Thursday August 15, 2013 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association.
