Beatrice E. Sinclair, age 78, of Battle Creek, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 31, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 30, 1937 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Roy and Helen (Abbott) Bennett. A 1955 graduate of Lakeview High School, she worked at U.S. Register Company and retired from the Lakeview School District where she worked in the kitchen at the High School. On April 21, 1956 she was married to Dale T. Sinclair at Sonoma United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband; daughters: Carla (Alan) Berner and Terrie (David) Belote, and son Dale (Linda) Sinclair, Jr. all of Battle Creek; ten grandchildren: Corine Berner, David Chapman, Heather Duff, Kalvin (Jessica) Berner, Dan Sinclair, Drew (Kristi) Nesbitt, Cody Belote, Cady Belote, Spence (Maris) Sellers and Logan (Stephanie) Sellers; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Mary) Bennett of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Mindy Perry; sister Ella VanGelder and three brothers: Willard, Linton and Robert Bennett. She enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles with her family, knitting, cooking and baking. Watching the birds was her favorite pastime, from the hummingbirds to the daily visits of the Sandhill Cranes. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.
