Barbara Young

Barbara Ann Young, age 77, of Marshall, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018. She was born October 23, 1940 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Everett R.  and Daisey S. (Sylvester) Winslow. A 1950 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, Barb attended Kellogg Community College and worked at the Kellogg Company for 29 years retiring in 1996. She was a member of Athens United Methodist Church, Athens V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and Kellogg 25 Year Club, and enjoyed all arts and crafts. On April 19, 1969 Barb was married to Richard M. Young, who preceded her in death on June 7, 2014. She was also preceded by her parents, her sister Shirley C. Wells and two brothers: Everett P. and Robert T. Winslow. Barb is survived by her son Craig (Lori) Young of Marshall; three grandchildren: Ryan Everett, Ashley Ann and Austin Dean Young; her brother Rex J. Winslow of Battle Creek, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Sandy Gastian officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Oaklawn Hospice. www.henryfuneralhome.org
