Barbara Smith

Barbara L. Smith age 85, of Athens, Michigan passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Bronson at Home Hospice Residence.  She was born on October 7, 1931 In Adrian, Michigan the daughter of Phillip and Louise (Sellers) Hull.  She graduated in 1949 from Battle Creek Central High School.  Barbara married Orville Smith Jr. on March 15, 1958 in Battle Creek; he preceded her in death on August 24, 1999, and a son Steven Smith in 2011.  She worked for the Post Cereal Company for sixteen years before retiring in 1987.  Barbara enjoyed spending her   summers in Michigan and winters in Arizona.  She liked bowling, golfing, crocheting and going to the casino. Barbara is survived by her daughter; Lorraine (Ron) Alberty of Battle Creek, sons; Larry (Linda) Smith of Battle Creek, Carle (Charlene) Smith of Battle Creek, and Kenneth Smith of Bermuda.  Eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home.  Funeral services are Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Rev.
