Barbara Jones

Barbara N.  Jones, Age 88, Of Battle Creek, Died Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Bronson Battle Creek. Barbara was born on October 9, 1924, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Robert F. and Vera (Alexander) Hughes. She had been a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She married Elbert D. Jones who preceded her in death in 1987. She was employed as an office manager for Dr. Marjorie Ross until her retirement. Barbara was the director of the Senior Tour Club, loved traveling and her dog “Brutus”. Surviving are daughters, LouAnne Flathau, Linda K. (Joe) Klooster and Marcia E. Waitzman; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Bruce (Christy) Hughes; nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucia Simpson. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
