Barbara Fahndrich

Barbara J. Fahndrich, 79, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2012.  She was born in 1932 to Vern and Zola Romig, the youngest of their eight children.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Claribell and Mildred), three brothers (John, Merle, and Robert), and her husband (Carl G. Fahndrich, Jr.). She is survived by two sisters (Ruth and Betty), three children (Michael (Salli), Carl (Melanie), and Christine), four grandchildren (Jessica, Brooke, Nathan, and Bryan) and four great-grandchildren (Arianna, Abryella, Braylin, and Bryce). Barbara was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sister and aunt, and faithful friend.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, bowling, golf, and walks on the beach.  Barbara was known for her kindness, gentle nature, beautiful spirit, and inner strength.  “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home in Battle Creek, Michigan.  Memorial contributions may be given to Battle Creek Evangelical Friends Church, the United States Marines “Toys-for-Tots” Program or the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center.
