Arlis “Ray” Douglas, Jr. age 70, of Battle Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 29, 2018. Ray served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany, during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to work at the Kellogg Company working for 34 years, prior to his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. An avid University of Michigan fan, he enjoyed fishing, baseball, his dogs and most of all spending time with his family. For many years he showed Percheron Horses with his wife Kathy whom he married on September 4, 1993. This year they celebrated 25 years of marriage. Ray is survived by his loving wife Kathy; three children: Shana (Samantha Juve) Huerta, Jennifer (Shawn) Coon and Jennifer Williams; three grandchildren: Ryland Bowles, Hunter and Cayleigh Coon; brother Gary (Laurie) Douglas; two sisters: Lois Killian and Mary (Bob) Fales; several nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the American Heart Association. Arrangements by the Richard A.
