Anthony Ughetti

Anthony R. Ughetti, age 77, of Springfield, passed away on January 22, 2020 at his residence.  He was born on October 21, 1942 in Battle Creek, the son of Louis and Josephine (Postula) Ughetti.  Anthony was a lifelong resident and graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.  He was employed by Sears Roebuck and Company in Battle Creek in a variety of roles for 25 years, retiring as the store operations manager. He then worked for Battle Creek Transit as a mechanic before retiring in 2007.  He served in the United States Army and Air National Guard.  Anthony was an avid hockey and auto racing fan, and enjoyed working on cars.  He was married from 1965 to 1989 to Imojeane Hager, they continued to remain lifelong friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter; Lisa Ughetti in 1966, father in 1991, mother in 2005, sister; Christine Ughetti in 2012, and a brother; Louis Ughetti in 2019.  Surviving are his sons; Anthony C. (Dolores) Ughetti of Novi, and Gino Ughetti of Springfield.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment with military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Bronson Battle Creek Volunteer Memorial Fund.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
