Annemarie “Linda” Seivert, age 82, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Linda was born August 15, 1934 in Frankfurt, Germany the daughter of Paul Albert and Maria Luise (Geborene-Betz) Beuchert. She grew up in Germany during World War II, and then went to live with a friend in Columbus, Georgia following the war. It was there that she met Dennis L. Seivert and they were married January 17, 1964. Linda was a homemaker all of her life and was well known for her German Potato Salad. She also tutored many students in the German language both in her home and at Valley View School while her son was in school. She enjoyed garage sales and auctions, fishing, hosting pool parties at the family home and traveling. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Dennis L. Seivert of Battle Creek, son, Denny Paul (Nicholas) Seivert of Kalamazoo, cousin, Hanneliese Sorg of Frankfurt, Germany, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1977 and mother in 1983. A service to celebrate her life will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. James Codde officiating. Interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery with a luncheon to follow.
