Anna Sanders

Anna M. Sanders, age 92, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 13, 2018 at Heartland Health Care Center. She was born on August 22, 1926 in Bellevue, Michigan, the daughter of Ralph and Ellen (Jaquay) Martin. Anna was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. She previously worked at the lunch counter at Woolworth Drug Store, The Brunch Room, and later a nurse at Leila Hospital. Anna loved crocheting and working on crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; Ralph and Ellen, brothers; Ralph and Fred Martin, sister; Barbara Sager, and a grandson; Gregory Sanders. Anna is survived by her son; Rodney (Marilyn) Sanders of Gallatin, Tennessee, sister; Cora Martin of Battle Creek, grandson; Michael Sanders of Clarksville, Tennessee, sister-in-law; Shirley Martin of Battle Creek and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation services, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue.
