Angela Melissa Slaughter-Mahoney passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2024. Angie was born on June 18th, 1969 in Battle Creek, MI. She graduated from Lakeview schools in 1987, and spent most of her life in Kalamazoo, ultimately retiring to Vicksburg, MI. Angie worked as a switchboard operator for many years at the WMCC in Kalamazoo. She was a funny and beautiful soul. Quick with laughter she tried not to take life so seriously. Angie loved spending time with family and friends. She supported the SPCA of Southwestern MI. She was active socially, loved to shoot darts and play pool. She loved the water and looked forward to summer every year. She enjoyed watching movies, listening to music & concerts were a favorite pass-time. She was always up for a road trip. Surviving are her (beloved) dog Leeloo. Brothers, Robert Foust and Ron (Fran) Slaughter. Sisters, Kimberly Copeland, and Alisa Slaughter-Trayer. 11 nieces and nephews, and 22 great nieces and nephews. Special mentions, sister Alisa Slaughter-Trayer, and friends, Laurie Converse-Green and her Cancer Squad. She left many more wonderful friends and family. She was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Virginia Jo Slaughter and sister Leslie Foust of Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to the SPCA of Southwestern MI. Upon Angie’s request, cremation will take place at Richard A Henry Funeral home. There will be a celebration of Angie’s life at the PNA Club of Battle Creek, 15 Clair St. Battle Creek, MI 49014. Sunday February 25th at 2pm. (Potluck).
