Andrew Anthony Tutino, Sr., Age 89, Of Battle Creek, Died Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Bronson Battle Creek. Andrew was born on May 16, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Ignazio and Jennie(Patelmo) Tutino. He was a graduate of Germantown High School in Philadelphia and then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He had been an area resident since 1963. He married the former Dorothy Serzynski who preceded him in death in 1971. Andrew worked for the federal government from 1950 until his retirement in 1986 in data processing and the cataloging management. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church since 1963. He enjoyed playing golf, reading and traveling. Surviving are children, Philip R. (Karen A.) Tutino of Yorktown, VA, Carol Ann (Matt) VerBryck of Delray Beach, FL and Andrew A. “Tony” Tutino of Williamsburg, VA; special companion of 30 years, Joan Sterrett and her family; sisters, Mona Zambito and Lillian (Joe) Messina; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ida Tutino and a brother-in-law, Chris Zambito. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ben Huynh officiating.
