Amanda Grumeretz

Amanda Renee Grumeretz, age 36 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday, April 4, 2022. She was born December 3, 1985, in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Reynaldo and Patricia (Bradstreet) Polendo. Amanda was a 2004 graduate of Lakeview High School and went on to graduate from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital for ten years and most recently worked at Spectrum Health as a medical technologist in microbiology. Amanda married her high school sweetheart Angelo Joseph Grumeretz on September 28, 2013, and they have two beautiful children, Ariella Rae and Angelo Jerome. Amanda always said that her greatest gift in life was being a mother. She loved her children and family deeply and had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room.  She is also survived by her sister Jamie Polendo, sister Kristi McFellin, brother Reynaldo Polendo III, many nieces and nephews, her father Reynaldo Polendo, father-in-law Jerome Grumeretz, mother-in-law Kristi Angelo and her best friend Kelly Workman. Amanda was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Polendo and brother-in-law Nick Grumeretz. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 114 E. Minges Road, Battle Creek, MI 49015 with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
