Alice Eggleston

Alice M. Eggleston, 77 of Battle Creek, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at her home. She was born December 6, 1933 in Albion, Michigan the daughter of Henry and Christine (Wildschultz) Henschenmacher. Alice was raised on the family farm and it was there that she learned to ride horses. She earned her pilots license at the age of 21, loved to travel, was a member of the P.N.A. Club and enjoyed Karaoke. Alice retired from the V.A. Hospital where she had worked for 32 years. Surviving are her children: Patricia Ann Logsdon, Richard Dale (Patricia) Eggleston, Jr, and Debra Kay Garland; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Marion Mayo and Frances Kinnunen. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Martha Schieber. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
