Adeline Elivia (Tabbert) Kilpatrick, age 92, of Zephyrhills, Florida and formerly of Battle Creek passed away on March 22, 2018. She was born on March 10, 1926 in Birnamwood, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Sylvia Tabbert. Adeline and her family moved there from Dowagiac, Michigan where she attended high school. Adeline then moved to Battle Creek to attend Wrights Beauty Academy where she became a cosmetologist. She met her husband, Lyle while she was working the box office at the Bijou Theater, later they were united in marriage on January 25, 1946. Adeline owned and operated her own beauty Salon; La Petite in her home until her retirement. She was an officer of the Cosmetologist Association in Battle Creek in which she traveled to various conferences. Adeline and her husband traveled back and forth to Florida for many years, until deciding to make that their home. She was an active member of the Zephyrhills Elks Club, Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Adeline enjoyed dancing, walking the Mackinac Bridge and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters, and a brother. Surviving are a daughter; Linda (William) Wellivere, son: Kenneth (Judy) Kilpatrick, twin granddaughters; Shannon and Stacy Wellivere, granddaughter; Tracey Kilpatrick, grandsons; Troy (Heather) Kilpatrick,Travis (Karen) Kilpatrick, and Terry (Mariah) Ray. Committal services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
