Daniel F. Hallock, age 79, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. He was born June 6, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Frank Nathaniel and Vera Evelyn (Matherly) Hallock. Following his graduation from Marshall High School in 1954 he joined the U.S. Army where he served from November 8, 1954 to October 24, 1956. On July 5, 1958 he was married to Beverly Jean Traister who preceded him in death on June 27, 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law: Missy Hallock. Dan was a member of Union Local #66 and retired from Ralston Purina in 1994 after 37 years of service. He was a member of the Family Altar Chapel, Future Farmers of America and loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by four children: Daniel F. (Shelly) Hallock, Jr. of Battle Creek, Jeffrey A. Hallock of Flint, Cindee (Darby) Rocheleau of Topinabee and Michelle (Louis) Vincent of Ottawa, Canada; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Family Altar Chapel with Rev. Travis Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the church. www.henryfuneralhome.org
